The laboratory has been created in 1985 , after the merging of several different laboratories belonging to "Potasses d'Alsace". After merging with the Aspach Agronomic Research Center in 1998, our laboratory is now a laboratory of choice for agricultural and environmental analysis in France.
It deals with more than 30.000 samples every year,
meaning more than 300.000 analysis, or a parameter every 30 seconds.
| SADEF was the second laboratory in France to receive an accreditation from COFRAC for program 108 (fertilizing substances and substrates) and for program 96 (soil analysis) after a rigorous procedure of control. This ensures that analytical results provided by the laboratory to our clients are accurate and precise, as well as consistent over time. |

Along with other French and European laboratory, we take part in the development of standardized methods ( AFNOR, CEN, ISO) and of quality control management (BIPEA, WAGENINGEN, AGLAE).
We invest more than 500 KF (or 76 000 euros ) every year in high-tech equipment, allowing us to routenily analyse major and trace elements with officialIy-certified techniques.
Our laboratory is entirely computerized and highly automated. The data reliability is maximized by check procedures amouting to about 8% of the total number of analyses.

SADEF also provides agronomic consulting services for a better understanding of your analytical results :
- IPAS : this software provides an interpretation of your own soil analyses (manuring).
- Fert'IPAS : is a fertilization strategy software. Manuring (IPAS) + the farm and its parcels + organic and mineral inputs (available !) = pluriannual tracking of your own farm fertilization program. Ask for a cost estimate.
- Plant nutrition diagnosis : at a precocious stage of development, thorough (11 elements), quick (8 days), easy to use.
- FERTI'TERROIR, soil database : 300.000 soil analyses covering most types of french soils, regional studies, synthetic visualisation down to the local level, under cartographic and historiographic form.
