SAMPLING

It is the most important step in obtaining meaningful information about your product.

BASIC RULE : HOMOGENEITY OF THE SAMPLE
GUIDELINES TO FOLLOW FOR THE COLLECTION OF A REPRESENTATIVE SAMPLE :

Sampling standards for:

Organic soil improvement : NF U 44-101 :

Take homogeneous samples.
Collect several samples (15 à 20).
Samples should be placed in non-pollutant containers, available on request.

Liquid sludges NFU44-108 :

Mix sludge silo for a least an hour before any sampling.
Take 15 samples and mix them together in a perfectly clean container.

Thick sludges NF U 44-108 :

Take 15 samples.
Choose different places and depths, avoidING the top 10 cm. Or, sample at regular intervals on the stream.
Mix the sample, and take a 2 liter sample for analysis.

N.B. : When sampling is done in different locations, samplers should be carefully cleaned.
